Fresno Rehabilitation Center
The Fresno Rehabilitation Center meets the needs of the community by providing evaluation and treatment services to children ages infants to 18 with hearing, neurological, orthopedic, rheumatic and congenital disorders. An extension of The Rehabilitation Center, it’s conveniently located in North Fresno just off Bullard Ave exit of Freeway 41 and is easily accessed by Fresno Area Express (FAX). Its multidisciplinary staff includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and audiologists.
Subspecialty Services
Our audiologists provide expert diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in infants and children. Through the Newborn Hearing Screening Program, young children benefit from early hearing disorder identification and intervention. We provide interdisciplinary care and often collaborate with speech-language pathologists, otolaryngologists, and the Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Speech therapy focuses on the skills necessary for communication and feeding. Our speech-language pathologists work on helping your child improve language and oral motor skills for better communication and safe swallowing.
The primary goal of occupational therapy is to help children develop the skills of daily living, which for a child means play or school life. Our occupational therapists work with kids to enable or enhance their ability to live an active life despite illnesses, injuries or limitations of mental function.
Our physical therapists focus on the skills your child needs to become as independent as possible. They help kids build strength, balance and coordination while incorporating techniques to reduce pain and prevent disability.
