Sigma Chi Fraternity Raises $11,000 for Children's

Derby Days fundraiser most successful event ever for Fresno State chapter

This philanthropy event is a week-long competition between sororities wherein they participate in several diverse activities. The majority of the profits are generated through advertisements sold in a Derby Days booklet, which have proven to raise significant amounts of money to benefit Children’s Hospital Central California.

The 2010 Derby Days proved to be as successful as ever. The event took place April 26-29 and included eight participating sororities. By selling wristbands and advertisement space in the Derby Days booklet, Sigma Chi was able to raise $11,000 for Children’s Hospital Central California. Their continued effort to service their community has made a difference in the lives of the hundreds of children who visit Children’s Hospital each day.

Sigma Chi Fraternity is one of the most highly respected and well-Sigma Chi fraternity members pose in front of Children'sregarded national fraternities in the world, developing value-based leaders and a foundation for post-collegiate success. With over 250,000 initiatives and 367 undergraduate and alumni chapters, Sigma Chi is also the largest and well-known fraternity in the world.

As the 122nd chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, the Fresno chapter has become the universities’ largest alumni network as well. Along with their dedication to create confident and well-rounded leaders, Sigma Chi successfully develops men to serve their communities and demonstrate altruistic qualities.
