Board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Meade joined Children’s Hospital in June 2008. Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Meade was a neonatologist at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics in Kansas City as well as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Osteopathic Association. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including "Biology of the Neonate," the "Journal of Pediatrics" and the "Journal of Perinatology."
Dr. Meade’s professional experience also includes having served as a neonatologist at Stanford University Medical Center as well as volunteering as a coordinator of the Akamil Feeding Program for the Haitian Episcopal Learning Project in Haiti.
Dr. Meade received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed an internship and residency in pediatrics from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Meade is fellowshipped trained in Neonatology by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Medical Center and James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
Dr. Meade enjoys spending time with her family as well as swimming, hiking and Shakespeare.
