Board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Vonda Crouse joined Children’s Hospital in 1987. She has over 30 years’ clinical experience in pediatric oncology. Dr. Crouse has participated in Children’s Oncology Group (COG) since 1980 and serves as our COG principal investigator. She established the Central Valley’s first pediatric oncology program, evolving into the program today.
Dr. Crouse belongs to several professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Her work has been published in professional journals including “Pediatrics” and the “American Journal of Epidemiology.”
Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Crouse was a pediatric oncologist at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colo., and assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Dr. Crouse completed her pediatric internship and residency at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, where she served as chief resident. She did a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
