Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Bryan has over 40 years of pediatric experience and has been with Children’s for more than three decades. He joined Children’s from Fresno Community Hospital, prior to that he operated a private practice in pediatrics in Fresno.

Actively involved in the community, Dr. Bryan has served as a member of the Fresno Unified School Medical Advisory Board, the Hinds Hospice Board of Trustees and the California Pediatric Trauma Care Coalition. He is the father of Children’s Emergency Physician Dr. Paul Bryan.

Dr. Sylvester Bryan earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Bryan served as a Navigator in the United States Air Force. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St Louis, Missouri. Fellow of American academy of pediatrics

Dr. Bryan has a passion for golf and enjoys playing bridge during his free time.
