Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Ramachandran Rajagopalan is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Anesthesiology. Dr. Rajagopalan also speaks Jamil.
Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Rajagopalan was Chief of Anesthesia at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas. He held Associate Professor positions in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Texas Tech Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, as well as at McMaster University in Canada. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Rajagopalan has been published in the “Canadian Anesthetists Society Journal” and “Anesthesia and Analgesia.”
A graduate from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India, Dr. Rajagopalan completed his internship at the Indian Air Force Hospital in Secunderabad, India. He completed anesthesiology residencies at Toronto East General Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children and Wellesley Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Rajagopalan also completed a residency in internal medicine and a clinical fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology at Wellesley Hospital.
