Following her pediatric medical training, Dr. Rhonda Keosheyan joined Children’s as a pediatric hospitalist in August 2000. An expert in pediatrics, Dr. Keosheyan is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has given many lectures on pediatric topics including urinary tract infections, meningitis and RSV. Elected by the pediatric house staff at Children’s Hospital, she was awarded the Distinguished Teacher Award. She is co-medical director of the Acute Care Unit at Children’s and assistant medical director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program.

Dr. Keosheyan’s professional activities also include an Assistant Clinical Professor position in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF-Fresno. She also participates in interviewing incoming perspective interns to the UCSF-Fresno Pediatric Residency Program.

Active in the community, Dr. Keosheyan participated in Sunnyside Academy’s Doctors In Training Program in which high school students shadow physicians to learn more about the medical profession. She also participated in The Chicago Medical School Homeless Healthcare Project, providing basic health care services to the homeless patient population.

Born in Fresno, California, Dr. Keosheyan graduated from the Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)-Fresno Medical Education Program, based at University Medical Center in Fresno, California and Children’s Hospital Central California in Madera. She served as Chief Resident during her medical training with UCSF-Fresno Medical Education Program. Dr. Keosheyan is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Keosheyan spends her free time with her husband and their three children.
