Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Nilufer Goyal joined the Charlie Mitchell Children’s Center in October 2012 to provide complex primary care.
Dr. Goyal comes to Children’s Hospital Central California from Cal Family Health, Inc., in Reedley, Calif., where she worked as a general pediatrician for over four years.
Dr. Goyal is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of Specialty Medical Group.
Dr. Goyal earned her medical degree in India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Penn State University, Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, in Hershey, Penn. She also did a chief resident year at Penn State.
Dr. Goyal enjoys volunteer work. She has acted as a volunteer ambassador of the ASHI (Association for Social Health in India) under the Red Cross in which she visited women prisoners to address various humanitarian, family, legal and vocational training needs. She has also served as a volunteer organizer for regularly held seminars in villages and high schools in India on topics such as AIDS prevention, drug addiction and family planning.
Proficient in Urdu, Dr. Goyal is fluent in reading and writing Hindi and Punjabi. She likes cooking, oil painting, photography, bicycling, swimming and yoga.
