Dr. Lawrence Wetterau is medical director of Endocrinology & Diabetes. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of The Endocrine Society, the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Growth Hormone Research Society.
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Wetterau has held academic positions including Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital – The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
Dr. Wetterau has been published in several medical journals and publications including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism and Emedicine Textbook of Pediatrics. He’s made numerous presentations at seminars and workshops and conducts research in growth disorders.
Dr. Wetterau earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Mattel Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and fellowships in Pediatric Endocrinology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio and Mattel Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Wetterau resides in Fresno with his wife Sharon and their two daughters.
