A board certified anesthesiologist with specialization in pediatric anesthesiology, Dr. Kevin Luu came to Children’s Hospital Central California to help care for underserved and sick children in the Central Valley. His professional activities include active involvement in the California Society of Anesthesiologists, the Fresno-Madera Medical Society, and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Luu’s interests include medical care and screening for poor and underserved communities. He volunteered in a number of health fairs and community events throughout medical school and residency. His hobbies include family, golf, soccer, music and photography.
Originally from Vietnam, Dr. Luu graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Fla. He completed his internship in internal medicine and an anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he received the Baylor College of Medicine Teaching Excellence Award. He did a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Texas Children’s Hospital-Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
