Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. James McCarty received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and residency at University Medical Center in Fresno and the University of South Alabama Medical Center. He did a fellowship in infectious disease at Tulane University School of Medicine.
