Dr. Garine Lepejian joined the Charlie Mitchell Children’s Center in October 2008 to provide complex primary care. Prior to relocating to California, Dr. Lepejian practiced pediatrics in Tennessee. Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Lepejian has given presentations at national and international conferences. Her work on the medical treatment of patients with infantile spasms and thyroid screening has been published in the Journal of Medical Screening and Clinical Neuropharmacology. She has won research awards both in the United States and abroad for her research on silent celiac disease in patients with endocrine disorders. Dr. Lepejian is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Lepejian received her Medical Degree from Jordan University in Amman and trained in Pediatrics at the American University of Beirut, in Lebanon, where she was Pediatric Chief Resident, as well as at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
Dr. Lepejian is fluent in English, Armenian and Arabic. Her hobbies include playing the piano and cooking.
