Dr. Faisal Razzaqi joined Children's Hospital in December 2009. Board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology, Dr. Razzaqi earned his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at Marshfield Clinic/St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wis., where he was chief resident. Dr.
Razzaqi completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Childrens Hospital of New Orleans, where he served as chief fellow.
Through his research endeavors, Dr. Razzaqi gained valuable laboratory experience in stem cell processing, magnetic bead cell separation, flow cytometry and cloning. His research focused on accelerating immune recovery after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. An active member in the community, Dr. Razzaqi volunteered in a national program designed to deliver anti-smoking messages to children. He visited fourth-grade classes in the community, presenting the health benefits of not smoking along with other educational facts related to smoking and advertising.
A lover of sports, Dr. Razzaqi has played competitive ice hockey, soccer and football. He enjoys reading, writing poetry and traveling. He speaks Urdu/Hindi and is learning Spanish.
