Dr. Edward Tang is board certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification in pain management. His professional activities include membership in the American Society of Anesthesiology and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia.
Prior to joining Children’s medical staff, Dr. Tang was Director of the Pain Management Center at the Columbia Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, where he established the chronic pain service.
He also served as a Clinical Instructor for the University of California, Davis anesthesiology residency and the United States Air Force (USAF) nurse anesthesia training program.
A graduate from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, Dr. Tang completed his internship at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He completed an anesthesiology residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and a pediatric fellowship at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colo.
