Board certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgical critical care and general surgery, Dr. Douglas Tamura is a member of the American Pediatric Surgery Association, the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group and an associate member of the American College of Surgeons. He has been published in numerous journals including The Journal of Trauma: Injury Infection & Critical Care and The Journal of Surgical Research.

Dr. Douglas TamuraDr. Tamura earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Tamura completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and a pediatric surgery fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.

In his free time Dr. Tamura enjoys biking, golfing, running, sailing, skiing, soccer and tennis.
