Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Carmela Sosa joined the Charlie Mitchell Children’s Center in April 2012 to provide complex primary care.

Dr. Sosa comes to Children's Hospital from Cal Family Health, Inc., in Reedley, Calif., where she served as an ambulatory pediatrician since 2009. Prior to that she worked as an ambulatory pediatrician at the Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission Health Services Clinic in Fresno, Calif.

Dr. Sosa is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Sosa earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at MetroHealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Sosa is a member of Specialty Medical Group.
