An expert in pediatric anesthesiology, Dr. Caroline LaBrie is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. LaBrie joined Children’s from Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Hawaii. Her professional activities include membership in the American Society of Anesthesiology, the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
A graduate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadephia, Penn., Dr. LaBrie was actively involved in the Student Osteopathic Medical Association, where she served in leadership positions such as National Board Member. She completed her internal medicine internship at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Conn., and her general surgery residency at Baptist Medical Centers in Birmingham, Ala. She completed a clinical pain research fellowship at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in Boston, Mass.
Dr. LaBrie completed an anesthesiology residency at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in Boston. She did a fellowship in anesthesiology at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colo.
Dr. LaBrie has an athletic background. While pursuing her medical degree, she played intercollegiate sports during her undergraduate studies including softball and field hockey, and participated in sailing at Washington College in Maryland.
