Conference Facilities


The Children's Hospital Conference Center
is a 10-room, comprehensive learning environment available for use by hospital staff as well as external/community organizations. The Conference Center is managed by the Hospital's Department of Food Services, who provide and schedule acquisition of meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment, and environmental and food services all in one easy phone call.

Space Available

Conference rooms scheduled by the Department of Food Services include G140 A and B, G145, G150 A and B, G155, G160, G165, G170, and the Technology Learning Center. In the event all regular conference rooms are reserved, the conference center coordinator will seek the use of individual department meeting rooms on a space available basis. Requests to use the Administrative Conference Room should be directed to Administration.

Space Requests

Meeting rooms:  are available for use by outside/community groups for a fee and must have approval of the Director of Food Services. Organizations requesting to utilize one or more Children’s Hospital conference rooms must provide: adequate adult supervision for events involving children and families; a $250 security deposit is required for events held in G150A or B, G140 A or B, or any event involving food, arts and crafts activities, etc.

Outside groups may be charged a fee to utilize the hospital’s conference space. This is a single fee, regardless of length of meeting. Exceptions to this fee structure are at the discretion of the Director of Food Services.

Catering Service

External community organizations requesting food service will be billed and charged at market value. Outside catering sources are discouraged, and room rental fees may be waived if the Hospital's catering services are used.

Audiovisual Equipment Requests

Audiovisual equipment is available for use by outside groups if there is a trained hospital staff member or multimedia specialist on site to provide assistance. For evening/weekend requests, special arrangements may be made for the necessary staff, and additional costs may be incurred by the external group to cover this expense.

Environmental Services Requests

All specific room set-ups are coordinated with Environmental Services by the conference center coordinator. Only Scotch drafting tape or masking tape, available from the conference center coordinator upon request, is permitted as a means of fastening objects or materials to conference room walls. Use of nails, tacks, and/or any tape other than S1cotch drafting or masking tape is prohibited.

Furnishings

The Conference Center is furnished with round tables or banquet-style tables and chairs. These furnishings are provided at no extra cost and may not be removed from the Conference Center.

A choice piece of tenderloin topped with duxelles and wrapped in a puffed pastry. Served with Bernaise sauce.
