Remote Access Upgrade

Who will it affect?
Remote sites/users that connect through the F5 VPN AND do not have administrative rights to their computer.  If you have administrative rights you do not need to apply the fix, it will update automatically.

What's Changing?
We are changing the IP address that resolves to  Once the change is made, you will not be able to connect until your settings are updated with the new IP address.

How Do I Fix It?
Here are the steps.  You may need to contact your IT department for help if you do not have admin rights to your computer.  **Please do not apply these steps until the upgrade has taken place at Children's on 9/25/14. 
  1. Login to your computer with admin rights.
  2. Navigate to the host file on the local C: drive - C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  3. Edit the Host file and change the IP address to  You will be replacing

The Remote Access Portal is provided to users who need to access applications and data from offsite locations.
The Remote Access Portal requires authorization before you can connect. If you need access to hospital applications and data, follow the steps under the ‘Need Portal Access’ section.
