Remote Access Upgrade
Thursday, 9/25/14 at 6:00am
Who will it affect?
Remote sites/users that connect through the F5 VPN AND do not have administrative rights to their computer. If you have administrative rights you do not need to apply the fix, it will update automatically.
We are changing the IP address that resolves to remotevdi.childrenscentralcal.org. Once the change is made, you will not be able to connect until your settings are updated with the new IP address.
How Do I Fix It?
Here are the steps. You may need to contact your IT department for help if you do not have admin rights to your computer. **Please do not apply these steps until the upgrade has taken place at Children's on 9/25/14.
- Login to your computer with admin rights.
- Navigate to the host file on the local C: drive - C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
- Edit the Host file and change the remotevdi.childrenscentralcal.org IP address to 126.96.36.199. You will be replacing 10.17.130.130.
